FLDR Properties was established in 1987 when Mr G. S. Dhaliwal, whilst looking for suitable accommodation for his son while he attended University, purchased a five bedroom Victorian terrace house in Headingley  Just as renovations were coming to an end, a student happened by asking if rooms were available to rent. Mr.Dhaliwal asked his son if he wanted a housemate, a Law Society Short Hold Tenancy agreement was drawn up, the student moved in and a business was born.

For more than two decades FLDR Properties has developed and maintained a mission to provide clean, well maintained and affordable student housing.

In an ever-changing market, we have consistently been awarded the highest possible rating by UNIPOL, the independent, national Arbiter of standards in student accommodation and our main point of contact within the student rental market.  In 2013 we were nominated for the award for Most Responsive Landlord by Leeds Student Landlord Awards and achieved the runner-up award.

We remain a small family business dealing exclusively with our own properties. This concentration has enabled us to remain focused on the requirements of our tenants and ensures that all contact and queries are handled by the owner/manager and not a third party.

We hold contracts with numerous property maintenance companies such as T.M West Plumbing Services, Armley Electrical Services, ARC Appliance Repair, Molly Maid and Sparkle Cleaning. All of whom have worked with us for many years and with whom we have trusted relationships. Most of these companies are granted direct access so in the event of problems occurring, tenants do not have to wait in to provide access.

As the property rental market is ever-changing, we maintain a constant dialogue with UNIPOL Student Homes and are paid up members of the Leeds Landlord Association. All our HMO’s are properly certified and we fulfil 100% all legal criteria regarding gas and fire safety.
